Afrobeats artist Iyanya has responded to accusations of taking sides in the ongoing feud between his colleagues Wizkid and Davido. The beef between the two superstars reignited last year with a series of heated social media exchanges.
Iyanya, who collaborated with Wizkid on the hit track "Sexy Mama" earlier in his career, was accused by a fan of switching sides and becoming a "Davido boy" after publicly showing support for Davido's music. However, Iyanya clarified that he doesn't have issues with either artist and supports both Wizkid and Davido equally.
In a statement, Iyanya explained that as an artist, it's his job to stay updated on the latest sounds and trends in the industry. He emphasized that he plays and supports various artists, including Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy, and Joeboy, among others.
Iyanya also accused fans of pitting artists against each other, stating that he has a good relationship with both Wizkid and Davido. He revealed that he recently met with Burna Boy at a club and vibed well, further dispelling claims of taking sides.
