In a deeply disturbing incident, Stephen Ejezie, a staff member at Access Bank’s Oniru branch in Lagos State, has been exposed for hiding a camera in the bank’s female restroom — secretly recording his female colleagues without their consent.
According to sources, Ejezie had been carrying out this shocking act for a while, amassing over 400 explicit videos of unsuspecting female employees.
The truth came to light on Wednesday, April 24, around 1:30 a.m.
Ejezie was caught red-handed while attempting to record a female colleague who was taking her bath inside the female restroom.
Staff members working the night shift became suspicious when one of them spotted a hidden phone camera tucked into a toilet cubicle, directly beside the bathing area.
Upon raising the alarm, colleagues demanded the person hiding in the cubicle to come out — and to their utter shock, it was Stephen Ejezie.
He reportedly mumbled incoherent excuses, claiming he didn’t know how he ended up in the ladies’ restroom, but he could not explain the video recording setup.
Following the incident, Access Bank immediately ordered his arrest.
During a subsequent police raid on Ejezie’s residence the next day, investigators reportedly found more than 400 video files showing female colleagues either naked or bathing.
Sources also revealed that Ejezie had been allegedly selling these videos online, with some circulated on Telegram and even marketed to foreign buyers on OnlyFans.
While it appears Access Bank has terminated Ejezie's employment, many affected staff members fear justice may never be served.
Despite the gravity of the situation, Ejezie has been released from police custody, fueling suspicion among contract staff at the bank’s contact centre that the case might be swept under the rug to "protect the bank’s reputation."
“Perhaps it’s because we are contract staff," one of the affected employees said, expressing feelings of helplessness.
Contact centre staff often work overnight shifts, which means they sometimes have to sleep, clean up, and bathe at the office — a practice that made them vulnerable to Ejezie’s heinous acts.
Colleagues describe Stephen Ejezie as someone who was friendly, helpful, and high-performing at work.
“No one would have suspected him. He was always polite and asked after people. He was even an exceptional customer service agent,” a former colleague shared, still in disbelief.
This scandal has left many employees traumatized and raised urgent questions about workplace safety, privacy rights, and corporate responsibility.
As of now, many are watching to see whether Access Bank will take decisive legal action or allow this devastating breach of trust to quietly fade away.
