Legendary musician and evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi has quashed rumors of his death, declaring that he is very much alive and in high spirits. In a video released on Tuesday, the 83-year-old icon appeared energetic and vibrant, singing a musical rebuttal to the false reports.

With a blend of Yoruba, English, and Pidgin, Obey-Fabiyi sang, "Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi. Satan, you don lose o, Satan, you don lose o, you don pafuka. Na lie lie you dey talk, you don pafuka," which translates to “Satan, you have lost, you have lost, you have been defeated. You are talking lies, you have been defeated.”

His personal assistant, Tope Olukole, had earlier dismissed the claims, stating that Obey-Fabiyi is alive and thriving, having recently celebrated a joyous occasion - the 50th birthday of his second child's spouse. Olukole described the rumors as “baseless and entirely unfounded.”

The music legend's swift response comes just weeks after he celebrated his 83rd birthday, putting an end to the speculation and premature tributes that flooded social media.
