Suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has rallied the people of Rivers State, assuring them that they will emerge stronger from the current political crisis. He made this statement while hosting Muslim leaders from 20 Islamic groups at his private residence in Port Harcourt, as part of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

Fubara encouraged his supporters to remain steadfast and trust in God's plan, emphasizing that the crisis may be disheartening, but it could be guided by higher forces. He reaffirmed his commitment to justice and equality, envisioning a society free from oppression.

The governor assured the Muslim leaders that their pending requests would be addressed once the political situation stabilizes.

Fubara warned against those inciting violence, urging his supporters to reject elements seeking to destabilize the state. He emphasized the importance of peaceful operations and respecting constituted authority.

Alhaji Nasir Awhelebe Uhor, representing the Muslim Ummah, expressed unwavering support for Fubara, praising his commitment to inclusive governance. Uhor encouraged the governor to remain resolute, citing Islamic teachings that believers are tested through wealth, power, and authority. He also urged President Bola Tinubu to reassess the emergency rule in Rivers State and reinstate Fubara's full authority.
