The first thing you notice after purchasing an online course is the duration; 20hrs, 15hrs and so on.

Quick summary: It is better to learn for at least 30 minutes daily for straight 30 days than learning 3 hours daily once in 3 days. Always note that the knowledge is more important than the cert, but that notwithstanding, the cert is important too.

First, you need to note that you can’t complete a 15 hours course in 15 hours, not even 30 hours. Having this in mind will help you plan your strategy well.

If you do not have a job, or maybe on leave and you decide to dedicate 4 hours daily to learning, bear it in mind that for that for you to learn well, you have to learn for an hour, then practice with the rest of the time. This means that out of 4 hours you study for the day, you can only cover 1hour of the course.

Take your mind back to school, when a teacher teaches for 4 hours straight, what happens? You get exhausted and would silently pray they leave the class asap.

However, some courses are more technical than others, so depending on how difficult it is, you should know how best to appropriate your practice time.

If the course is 15 hours, multiply it by 3, making it 45 hours. Then check your schedule and know the minimum time you can study a day. If it is an hour for instance, then it means the course would take you 45days to finish.

Go through the course timeline, divide into bits to fit into your schedule. This way, you’d know how best to tackle it.

Remember you have weekends when you probably can dedicate more than an hour for your studies, utilize those days and make sure your study for like 3 hours those days. This will help you beat your 45 days duration.

Now remember our first summary. DON’T MISS ANY DAY! Even if you’re tired, practice for at least 30 minutes. Just like gym, your system will get addicted to this too and would always look forward to your study time.

I wish you the very best.
