Music star Peter Okoye has taken the stand against his elder brother, Jude Okoye, in a high-profile ₦1.38 billion fraud case. Jude, the former manager of the defunct music duo P-Square, was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to Peter's testimony, P-Square was formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2017 before reuniting in 2021. He stated that Jude became their manager and sole signatory to all their bank accounts, including Ecobank, Zenith, and FCMB. Peter claimed that this led to issues with financial transparency and access to funds.

One notable incident Peter recounted was when funding for his house project in Ikoyi was stopped without explanation. When he approached Jude and his twin brother, Paul, they reportedly said, "As you leave P-Square, you leave the money." Peter also discovered that Jude had set up a separate company, Northside Music Limited, which received P-Square's royalties without his knowledge.

The EFCC has charged Jude Okoye and Northside Music Limited with a seven-count indictment involving alleged money laundering of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. Jude has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The case has been adjourned for cross-examination.
