Iyabo Ojo Clears the Air on Gistlover Blog Controversy

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally responded to allegations that she is the mastermind behind the popular faceless Instagram gossip blog, Gistlover.

During a recent podcast interview with comedian AY Makun, Iyabo Ojo opened up about how most of the gossip shared by anonymous blogs like Gistlover comes from close friends and associates of celebrities—and often contains false information.

"Most Gistlover Stories Are False" – Iyabo Ojo

Iyabo Ojo revealed that while some of the stories shared by Gistlover are true, many are fabricated or exaggerated. She questioned whether the anonymous blogger conducts proper fact-checking before publishing damaging rumors.

"One thing I found out about Gistlover is that it’s the people close to you who take the information there. Sometimes the information they take is wrong, but they still share it. Some of the information is right, and some is wrong."

She further explained that many of the viral stories posted by Gistlover were leaked by her colleagues in the entertainment industry, making it even more shocking when she was accused of running the blog.

"Why Would I Destroy My Own Reputation?" – Iyabo Reacts to Accusations

Iyabo expressed disbelief at claims that she was behind Gistlover, questioning why she would tarnish her own image and that of her daughters by spreading harmful rumors about herself.

"Some people came out to say I am Gistlover. I was shocked. Iyabo Ojo is Gistlover? And I posted about my own life on Gistlover? I dragged my daughter on Gistlover? For what reason would I want to destroy my name and reputation?"

She also referenced the controversial "threesome" scandal that went viral on the blog, emphasizing that she would never spread such damaging rumors about herself or her family.

Final Thoughts: The Danger of Faceless Gossip Blogs

Iyabo Ojo’s revelation highlights a growing issue in the entertainment industry—how anonymous blogs exploit false information, often leaked by insiders, to damage reputations.

As fans, it’s important to question the credibility of gossip blogs and avoid spreading unverified stories that can harm celebrities and their families.
