A man, Zulu, had been emotionally and financially committed to the entire journey of a supposed pregnancy with his 44-year-old girlfriend Diyana, but was left speechless and shattered after learning the entire thing was a lie.
According to reports, Diyana had told Zulu that she was pregnant and he supported her throughout the jouney, sadly, she told him the baby died at birth and proceeded to arrange a funeral. Zulu paid for everything — from hospital bills and burial expenses to buying a burial plot next to his family graves and even slaughtering a goat in honour of the child.
But on the day of the burial, things didn’t feel right.
Diyana refused to open the coffin, claiming it was too painful for her to bear.
Suspicious, Zulu’s brother insisted the coffin be opened… and to everyone’s horror, they found a lifeless doll wrapped like a baby.
The bizarre and heartbreaking incident has left the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) community, South Africa in total disbelief, with many questioning Diyana’s motives and mental state.
“He was devastated,” a source close to the family shared. “He truly believed he was going to be a father. He cried. We all cried.”
Zulu is now reportedly seeking legal advice, while social media is flooded with reactions — from empathy to outrage.
