The school beat both top Nigerian and British schools in a thrilling virtual contest held on June 19, 2025, setting a new standard for academic excellence and oratory brilliance.
The prestigious international competition brought together leading secondary schools from Nigeria and the United Kingdom, showcasing the power of youth voices and intellectual exchange across borders.

After dominating the preliminary rounds, St. John Vianney Science College advanced to the finals by defeating Maghull High School and Central Foundation Girls’ School, two strong UK contenders. The grand finale saw an all-Nigerian faceoff between Vianney Science College and St. Augustine’s College, Jos—a clash of brilliance, confidence, and passion.
